Currently, I am obsessed with the subtle complex construction of a picture, leading my imagination to focus, create and thus communicate. The kind of reality I concern myself with seeks to represent a structure that is composite and simple yet contrasting and nuanced. This interest emerged after a series of exercises requiring me to do both - draw and paint.

In order to be able to express such a reality, all formal aspects of image construction are consciously chosen such as the surface of the canvas, the form (in charcoal) and a pattern or a motif (in acrylic). This plane where the material value of black, white and other colors come into play is of particular interest to me, not only does it enable me to express but lets me make a spatial dialogue with the viewer.

While fragmentation may seem as an obvious resort of a post modernist tendency, its logic as a dispersed reality continues to determine our context. It is these multiple realities that I seek to address in all their totality turning the image into a personalized experience. This process of naturalization continuously chooses to construct and deconstruct in a context that synthesizes and de synthesizes itself.

My working methodology intends to transcend various formats, be it an exercise or a piece of art; a drawing or a painting; the spontaneous or constructive. It is not determined by an overriding concept but by the work itself. It is here that I seek to create without having to attach myself with one particular issue.
